Diageo Reserve World Class starts its third journey to find the best bartender in Romania in 2016

The third edition of the DIAGEO RESERVE WORLD CLASS™competition was launched through 2 events in Bucharest and Cluj and challenges all Romanian bartenders to overcome their limits and be part of the most prestigious bartender competition in the world.

Previous editions have not only brought Aida Ashor and Paul Sfirlea the title of best bartender in Romania in 20014 and 2015 but also international fame with both occupying top 20 positions at the Global Finals in London and Cape Town.

This year over 100 bartenders came to the launch events of the competition where they were introduced to the challenges of this year’s competition, the participation rules and some good to know tips and tricks on how to win from Paul Sfirlea. The first trend of the competition, Fruits and plants, was introduced by Tim Etherington Judge, Global Brand Ambassador of the competition and of the newly launched Bulleit bourbon and Bulleit Rye.  Bartenders got to taste and uncover the story behind an amazing Kentucky style bourbon whose secret lies in the high level of rye used.

The 2016 competition will have two challenges. The first one, Fruits and plants, is all about integrating these into cocktails while the second one, Cuisine meats cocktails focuses on creating perfectly balanced associations between food and drinks in the pursuit of a complete sensorial experience.

This year in order to qualify for the national final, bartenders will be put face to face with an international judge that will test both their creativity and skills.

This year Diageo Reserve World Class will hold the Global finals in Miami so if you think you got what it takes, start preparing to catch that one spot that will take you on the ride of your life.
